New Fortnite Update Today v19.01 Server Downtime, Status, File Size (December 14, 2021)
There is a new Fortnite update today, v19.01. The server shutdown will take place on December 14, 2021.
It’s been just over a week since the launch of Season 1 of Chapter 3 of Fortnite, even though it was scheduled to go live on Tuesday, December 7. However, the Battle Pass trailer was leaked two days earlier, so the start date was pushed back to Sunday, December 5.
We’ve updated the maintenance patch to address some of the issues reported by players, including a blank white screen, connection issues, severe lag, and disconnection during a game.
We now have the first content update of the season, v19.01. Here’s everything you need to know, including server downtime, file size, and what might happen in the new update.
Server Downtime December 14 – Status
The official Fortnite Status Twitter account tweeted that the v19.01 update will be released today, December 14th. The servers will shut down at 3 a.m. ET (8 a.m. UTC) and all matchmaking will be disabled thirty minutes prior.

As usual, there was no information regarding when the servers will be back, but we believe they will be down for at least a few hours. We will keep you updated on the status of the server below.
Fortnite patch notes for December 14, 2021
We don’t have any official patch notes for the v19.01 patch yet, but we do know what Epic Games will be adding thanks to the popular Hypex data miner. Winterfest challenges will be added to files with new Christmas skins.
A sergeant. Winter NPC will be added to the map with more creative Mythic items, cool styles for Battle Pass skins and more. We should also see the return of the Snowball Launcher with a candy consumable alongside other winter-themed items.
