He then continued his training with a residency in neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine from 1994 to 1997.

After graduation, the doctor obtained board certification in neurology through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit society dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
