Step 1: Download Status Bar Pro – 3D Touch
Although it offers root-like functionality, this app is completely legit and available for free on the Google Play Store. Just open the Play Store app on your Android and search for “Status Bar Pro”, or click the download link below.

Step 2: Activate the app as a device administrator
The first time you launch the application, you will be prompted to activate Status Bar Pro on Device Administrator. By giving this permission to the app, you can use custom status bar gestures even on the lock screen.Just tap the “Enable” button and follow the on-screen instructions to give the app admin privileges.
Step 3: Add custom gestures and actions to the status bar
Now that the app is ready to go, toggle the switch next to “Status Bar Pro” to enable status bar gestures. You can choose from a variety of gestures – Swipe Down, Swipe Right, Tap, Swipe Left, etc. and assign them a specific action.Although actions like Screenshot require root, actions like Search, Quick Settings, etc. can be selected immediately.
