How to check the beneficiary status of PM Kisan

Farm families who benefit from the PM Kisan program should note that the list of beneficiaries would be posted to the Panchayats for them to view. This is to ensure better transparency of information. Apart from that, the states and Union territories that are part of the program would be responsible for notifying the sanctioning of benefits to farming families through an official system generated by SMS. Farmers, who are part of the PM Kisan program, can also check beneficiary status through the Farmers’ Corner on the official PM Kisan government portal.

Here’s how to verify your name on the website:

Step 1: Go to pmkisan.gov.in

Step 2: From the home page you will be able to see a separate section called the Farmers Corner

Step 3: In the Farmers Corner section, there is a tab called “Beneficiary Status”. Click on it

Step 4: Alternatively, you can also go directly to the link https://pmkisan.gov.in/BeneficiaryStatus.aspx

Step 5: After landing on the required page, enter any of the details – Aadhaar number, PM Kisan account number or your registered cell phone number

Each farming family, which reports to Prime Minister Kisan, is eligible to get Rs 6,000 per year from the government, in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. This is done over a period of three quarterly installments throughout the year. All farm families who own land, who have cultivable land in their name, are eligible to benefit from the PM Kisan program. However, institutional landowners and those who pay income taxes are not eligible for the scheme.

The PM Kisan scheme is one of several government funded pension plans launched by the Narendra Modi government. The Center has so far spent Rs 43,000 crore on the PM KISAN program in fiscal year 2022 to help farm families, according to reports.
